Real food. Short workouts. A plan built around your shift, not the other way around. For people working 10+ hour days who are done starting over every Monday.
I know what it's like to clock out at 2:30 in the morning, eat whatever's in the fridge, and tell yourself you'll start over on Monday. I'm Jose Velasco, and I worked that night shift for six years before I founded VP Fitness.
I started at 320 lbs. At one point I got myself down to 145 by going way too extreme, and honestly, that was one of the hardest stretches I've been through. It taught me what doesn't last. Today I'm around 181 to 185 lbs, and I can keep it there without fighting myself every day.
That's who I coach now: people whose schedules don't leave much room. We set up your food and training around the life you already have, and we check in every week to adjust whatever isn't working. You don't need a perfect diet or hours in the gym. You need a plan that still holds up on your longest, worst day.
No meal plans built for someone with a 9-to-5 and two free hours. Everything is designed for the hours you actually have.
High-protein meals you prep once or twice a week and eat on a 15-minute break. Real food, Mexican-kitchen friendly, no vending machine.
Short, focused 45-minute sessions that fit before or after a long shift — even on the days you're running on empty.
Weekly check-ins so you're never guessing. When life gets crazy, we adjust the plan instead of quitting.

No starvation, no banned foods, no eating chicken and broccoli every day. You keep your kitchen and your schedule.
My own transformation first — because I'd never ask you to do something I haven't done. Then real people I've coached. No filters, no fake angles.

“For my belt I would only be able to move it to the 3rd hole and so it can be nice and tight and now it fits loose and I can get it to the 4th hole
— Leslie
“No it’s good. It’s a stress reliever and I’m taking my time.
— Clarissa
Plug in your stats, pick your activity, pick your goal. You'll get daily calories, protein, carbs and fat — using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula, the most accurate everyday equation for estimating your metabolism.
Goal weight sets your protein. Leave it blank and we'll use your current weight.
0.5 lb a week = 250 calories a day. 1 lb a week = 500 calories a day.
| Goal | Calories / day |

Weigh yourself first thing in the morning and track the weekly average. One day doesn't matter, the trend does.
If the scale isn't moving the way you want after 2 weeks, change your calories by 100–200 a day and give it another 2 weeks.
Hit your protein every day. Every meal should come in under 10 calories per gram of protein.
The calculator gives you a starting point. Coaching gives you a plan built around your shifts — and someone checking in on you every week.
